MAGUINDANAO MASSACRE

Very inhumane! I was alarmed by the brutality and evilness of the person/s behind this. The death of a certain number of women is such a big slap to our government considering our leader is a woman.

It’s really frustrating to hear about the heartless evil people like them do exist for real. I can’t imagine how they can sleep at night with what they did. For all we know they have been doing such kind of killings for a really long time, and have just been able to get away with it. What’s even more frustrating is we keep on hearing about all this all day, everyday and everywhere, and yet no necessary action is being done. Details, facts are already out in the open, but still those people are still out there. As long as Gloria needs to cover up the crime of stealing the presidency from FPJ, she will need to keep the Ampatuans happy. At all costs. We all want swift justice and not swerved justice for the Maguindanao Massacre victims and their families.

As for the government, declaring the National Day of Mourning is not enough, stop coddling the suspects, they are not above the law. It took the government days to take action and according to some reports, most of the armed group that committed this crime has run away towards the mountainous area of Maguindanao.

The situation is being handled very, very lightly! There are enough circumstantial pieces of evidence; why isn't anyone getting arrested?

This incident not only erases all doubts about the Philippines being the most dangerous country for journalists in the world, outside of Iraq, it could very well place the country on the map as a candidate for a failed democracy.Running for office and voting are as much exercises of free will and expression as covering and reporting the news.

We expect nothing less from this government than the swift apprehension and punishment of everyone involved in this gruesome assault on the national body politic, including the masterminds, regardless of who they might be.

Anything less would mean that the impunity that has emboldened those who would silence the press, staining this administration with the worst record of murdered journalists, has spread to embolden those who would subvert our democracy for their own selfish interests.

Let us all pray that justice will be served asap, and such cruelty will never happen again.

  3. These killers are like monsters who always greed for power.

I agree with you Moll. As the government continues to seek justice for the victims, this case should solved and the guilty must suffer the consequences.

Let's just pray that this won't happen again in Filipino history.

  5. You're right, Molly. It's really awful how people used money as their main weapon for killing. It's sounds appalling. They should be tossed in jail.
